| Jim
Innis teaches Computer Information Technology classes
on the Gainesville Campus, along with several online course
offerings.
Jim has a combined 35 years
experience in Computer Information Systems and Telecommunications.
He is a retired U.S. Navy Chief Radioman, and also retired
from Lockheed Martin Information Systems as a Software
Product Manager. He possesses an Associates degree from
Mohegan Community College (General Studies) and a Bachelor
of Science degree in Information Systems Management
from Southwest Missouri State College.
Jim is a FCC
licensed Extra class amateur radio operator, call sign
K5SP, and is past president of the Cooke County Amateur
Radio Club. He enjoys operating the digital modes,
attempting to contact as many foreign countries as he
can.
Jim is married to a Gainesville
native (which is what keeps him here), Patsy. Their
united families consist of four children (2 sons his,
1 son/1 daughter hers), a grandson that plays varsity
football for the Gainesville Leopards, a granddaughter
in Fort Worth, and 3 attack beagles named Buddy, Bubba,
and Biscuit.
