The Social
Science Department offers Special Topics courses in the Humanities, several
of which incorporate an historical perspective. HUMA1371: Hollywood Does
History is a non-traditional look at history as seen through the eyes
of Hollywood. HUMA1371: Human Rights, Human Wrongs looks at the 20th century
development of the human rights movement from a global perspective. HUMA1371:
Cooke County History, Culture and Economics incorporates county cemeteries,
public buildings, and community resource people into a "learning
lab" for the study of local history.
