ECON 2301 Principles of Macroeconomics

Economics is the social science concerned with the efficient use of scarce resources to achieve the maximum satisfaction of economic wants. Economics 2301 explores the world of monetary and fiscal policy of the U. S. federal government. it uses the tools of inflation, economic growth, and unemployment to understand government policy. Economics 2301 blends the world of history and government to understand current and future actions of our nation.

Economics 2301 meets the General Education Core Curriculum, the General Education for a Transfer-Based Associate Degree Core Curriculum, and is a required course of all business majors at the university level.

ECON 2302 Principles of Microeconomics

Economics is the social science concerned with the efficient use of scarce resources to achieve the maximum satisfaction of economic wants. Economics 2302 explores the world of the business firm. Economics 2302 builds upon a knowledge of consumer behavior and utility maximization. This knowledge leads us to an understanding of production costs. Different business models are explored: pure competition, monopoly, monopolistic competition and oligopoly. Social aspects of antitrust policy, poverty and health care are studied.

Economics 2302 meets the General Education Core Curriculum, the General Education for a Transfer-Based Associate Degree Core Curriculum, and is a required course of all business majors at the university level.
