Kevin Wood
teaches Chemistry at the Corinth campus. He is married
to Marcia Wood (not the one in the Corinth business
office) and has two children, Zack, age 16 and Caleb,
age 10. He received his Bachelor's in Animal Science
from Tarleton State University and a Master's in Chemistry
from Texas Woman's University. Before coming
to North Central Texas College, he taught chemistry
at Boyd High School and Tarrant County College.
Kevin serves
on several professional organizations, which include:
Texas Community College Teacher's association, American
Chemistry Society, Texas & Southwest Cattle Raisers
Association. He is an active member of the Decatur Church
of Christ.
During his scarce
evening hours, Kevin busies himself with a small cow/calf
operation at his present home in Alvord, Texas. His
children's academic and sport activities eliminate any
other interest or hobbies. Favorite pastimes include
sitting on his butt watching it rain and reading MONTHS
of periodicals and papers because it is too wet or cold
to do anything else.
Kevin's greatest
wishes are: to see his children graduate from college
and get married; tour the frigid terrain of Alaska;
and continue his new career as Chemistry instructor
at North Central Texas College.
