Donna Ritchey
currently teaches Anatomy & Physiology I and II
and Nutrition at the Corinth campus. Her commitment
to students is evident in her pursuit of utilizing advanced
technology in the classroom and encouraging student
feedback. She is a forerunner in building the Blackboard
system into her curriculum, which along with her personal
website, provides an immediate study guide for students.
Ms. Ritchey received
an Associate of Arts from Palm Beach Community College
in 1986. She completed her B.S. and M.S. in Biological
Sciences from Florida Atlantic University in '88 and
'91. She was awarded a fellowship to Stanford University
Marine Station participating in research involving DNA
and microscopic research.
Donna's community
service includes wildlife rehabilitation and volunteer
tutoring. She is a current member of the Human Anatomy
& Physiology Society and the NCTC Faculty Congress.
In December 2003, she was selected for the Outstanding
Professor Award by the NCTC Access Department for her
superior efforts in assisting students with disabilities.
In her leisure
time, Donna enjoys spending time with her son, Guy,
and pursuing personal interests, which include learning
and utilizing new computer software, horseback riding,
reading, traveling, gourmet cooking and animal rehabilitation.
