  • 30 (7:30PM), Oct. 1 (7:30PM), Oct. 2 (2:30PM) - NCTC Drama presents Unnecessary Farce, presented on the manestage of the First State Bank Center for the Performing Arts. About the show:

Two cops. Three crooks. Eight Doors. Go. In a cheap motel room, an embezzling mayor is supposed to meet with his femal accountant, while in the room next-door, two undercover cops wait to catch the meeting on videotape. But there's some confusion as to who's in which room, who's being videotaped, and who's taken the money.

About the show:

This Roald Dahl classic tells the scary, funny, and imaginative tale of a young boy who has a run-in with real-life witches! Witches as our hero learns hate children. With the help of a friend and his some-what magical grandmother, our hero tries to expose the witches before they dispose of him!

  • 8 - NCTC Drama will host a Jr. High UIL One Act Play Competition. The schools participating, show titles, and show times will be posted at a later date.

  • 18-19 (7:30PM)- NCTC Drama Presents - 2 By Twain. An evening of One Acts based on the works of Mark Twain. (The Diary of Adam and Eve and The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County.) This production will take place in the Outside Box Theater located adjacent to the lobby of the First State Bank Center for the Performing Arts. About the show:

The Diary of Adam and Eve is a light-hearted look at the world's first love story. Mark Twain's Garden of Eden bursts with wit, laughter, and the lyric poignancy of the first love and the first loss. The Celebrated Jumping Frog tells the rambunctious tale of schemer and braggart Jim Simley, who decides to mae his fortune by entering his frog in the first annual Frog Jumping Contest

  • 23-25 - NCTC will close at 3PM on the 23rd in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. We will return Monday, November 28, at regularly scheduled time.

About the show:

When CB's dog dies from rabies, CB begins to questio the existence of an afterlife. His best friend is too burnt out to provide any coherent speculation; his sister has gone goth; his ex-girlfriend has recently been institutionalized; and his other friends are too inebriated to give him any sort of solace. But a chance meeting with an artistic kid, the target of his group's bullying, offers CB a peace of mind and sets in motion a friendship that will push teen angst to the very limits.

Rudyard Kipling's tales of How the Elephant Got His Trunk, How the Rhino Got His Skin, and How the Camel Got His Hump are told in this imaginative and hilarious play for all ages.

  • 2-3 (7PM) - NCTC Drama will host auditions for our upcoming production of The Sound of Music. This audition is set aside for adult casting only. Needed: 15 Men and 15 Women (Ages 17 and up).

When a postulant proves too-high spirited for the religioius life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the stern Captain. Sound of Music has become one of the most beloved musicals of all time!
