Jazz Dance Technique I

Introduction to jazz dance through a study of its vocabulary, style, and technique.  Fundamental exercises and analysis of time, space, and dynamics as they apply to elements of dance with an emphasis on structural alignment and integration.

An introductory laboratory course giving credit to students for their experiences in rehearsal and performance of dance as an art form.  The course is threefold in content:  Studio rehearsals, technical and dress rehearsal, and performance
