BOX OFFICE INFORMATION & POLICIES

First State Bank Center for Performing Arts at NCTC Gainesville

 

LOCATION OF BOX OFFICE AND HOURS OF OPERATION

The box office is located in the lobby of NCTC First State Bank Center for the Performing Arts on the Gainesville campus. The box office is open for the public Monday - Friday from 1pm to 6 pm: beginning two weeks prior to opening for season members. Please check our schedule of performances for exact box office dates.

WHAT TIME DOES THE BOX OFFICE OPEN AND WHEN SHOULD PATRONS ARRIVE AT THE THEATRE?

The NCTC Box Office opens one hour before each performance. It is highly recommended that you arrive at least thirty minutes prior to performance; especially if you have tickets at Will Call. If you have picked up tickets prior then it is recommended that you arrive no later than fifteen minutes prior to performance.

Adults: $10.00

Youth (High School w/ valid ID and younger): $6.00

We currently accept the following payment options at the box office:

Cash

Checks (please make out to NCTC drama. There will also be a $25.00 fee for returned checks)

Credit Cards with the Visa and Mastercard logos only

RESERVATIONS AND TELEPHONE ORDERS

Telephone orders may be placed by calling (940)668-3355 Monday to Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. There is no additional service charge on telephone ticket purchases for NCTC Productions if patrons want their tickets held at Will Call. A valid credit card number with the Mastercard or Visa logo must be left with all telephone orders and presented at the box office at the time of pick up. In the case that you get our voice messaging service you must leave your full name and an immediate contact number so that we may return your call promptly to reserve your tickets. Any special needs must be mentioned at the time of reservation. All unpaid reservations will be held for 24 hours and then will be released to the general public.

PICKING UP TICKETS

All reserved tickets will be waiting for you at the box office Will Call window on the night of the performance. You may also pick up any paid reservations during our normal box office hours. Please have valid identification and if you paid with a credit card the purchasing card will be needed for verification. In the event of a sold out performance any unpaid reservations will be released for resale 10 minutes prior to curtain.

FRONT OF HOUSE AND LATE SEATING POLICY

House opens no later than twenty minutes prior to performance. Performances will begin promptly. Patrons who exit the theatre during a performance will be reseated at the back of the house until intermission when you may occupy your original seat.. This is a policy we must enforce without exceptions, for the safety of our actors and our audience members. Patrons arriving late will be sat at the House Manager's discretion and only at the back of the house until intermission where you may then proceed to your reserved seats but will not receive any refund or ticket exchange privileges unless otherwise stated in our refund/exchange policy.

REFUND & EXCHANGE POLICY

All sales are final, and there are no refunds. If you are a Subscriber and the tickets in question were purchased as part of a subscription package, they may be exchanged for another performance of the same production.

Front of House Policies

1) For all public performances, the NCTC Drama House Manager must be present a minimum of one hour before curtain time and remain until all patrons and actors have vacated the theater. This is for the safety of our patrons and actors.

2) No one from the Front of House staff, excluding the House Manager and Box Office staff, is allowed inside the Box Office during any performance.

3) The doors to the theater shall be opened no later than 20 minutes prior to curtain time. The House Manager will open the house doors after consulting the stage manager or tech director. In the event of school performances the lobby doors may be opened 45 minutes prior to curtain time to accommodate larger groups.

4) Ushers must arrive no later than 20 minutes before house opens. Ushers must meet with the House Manager to receive instructions for the current performance. All NCTC Drama ushers are volunteers or company members and must wear Staff Badges at all times when ushering the space.. If ushers do not show for their assigned shifts then it is the responsibility of the House Manager to contact back-up ushers from the reserve usher list.

5) When schools are bused in for a performance, three staff members are required for traffic control.

7) If concessions are provided they will be controlled by NCTC Drama and it is the House Manager's responsibility to acquire the cash sales from the concessions and give all cash sales to the Box Office personnel to be included in the nightly sales.

8) The theater lobby shall be free of any obstructions and must conform to fire code regulations. Any tables or displays placed in the lobbies shall be approved by the Managing Director prior to set-up.

9) Any and all free performances open to the public must be ticketed to prevent exceeding the capacity. The theater will be filled on a first come basis and the capacity may not be exceeded.
