Welcome to NCTC! I am Elizabeth Howell and I look forward to working with you this semester.

I started here at NCTC in the Fall of 2007, but I taught on several other community college campuses before arriving here. I have taught high school math, college prep math, and credit-level mathematics courses. Whatever the ability level, I love to help students to be successful in math!

I am a Texas native and grew up near Galveston Texas. I received a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991, and received a M.A. in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Arlington in August 2006. I plan to pursue a PhD in Mathematics Education in the next several years.

I am married to a former math teacher (now a HR Manager) and have two great kids. We stay busy with school, sports, church activities, Y-Guides, and our big family.
