Ruth
Ellis has been teaching both Reading Techniques and Fundamentals
of English at NCTC since 1992. She grew up in Denton and
received her degree from Texas Woman's University. Ruth
is married to a mathematics teacher, has four grown children,
and four grandchildren. Reading is her favorite spare
time activity, which is followed closely by working NY
TIMES crosswork puzzles.
Family and home are her greatest joys. Over the years,
Ruth has been involved in many community activities including
serving as commissioner of the Summer League Baseball
organization and serving on the City of Sanger Parks Board
for six years. In her "mature" years, besides
teaching, she is enjoying her grandchildren, traveling,
reading and just being alive!
