Frank Morris, left, chairman of First State Bank of Gainesville, presents a check for $150,000 to NCTC officials in support of the new Center for the Performing Arts. In recognition of the donation, NCTC's Board of Regents voted to name the facility the First State Bank Center for the Performing Arts. Accepting the gift, left to right, are Dr. Eddie Hadlock, interim president; Dr. Milton Dickson, regent who was serving as chairman of the board when the project was begun; and Russell Duncan, current Board of Regents chair. In the photo below, taken during formal grand opening and dedication ceremonies, Dr. Hadlock presents Mr. Morris with a miniature version of a specially engraved floor tile in the CPA lobby which recognizes First State Bank's support of the facility. The bank's gift also is recognized on the custom donor wall adjacent to the CPA Box Office.
