Mrs. Dias currently serves as the Program Coordinator for the
Office Systems Technology Program. She has 2 years experience
as an adjunct and 5years as a full-time Instructor on both the Gainesville and
Corinth campuses.
Prior to her teaching career, Dawn has over 15 years experience in non-profit management. She developed
a partnership in a business specializing in event management,
publication publishing, fund raising and communications.
Dawn began her academic career as an adjunct instructor for the Office Systems Technology and Computer Information Technology programs at North Central Texas College (NCTC), teaching a variety of courses including expert level Microsoft software applications, business communications, records management, and administrative procedures to name a few.
Dawn holds a BS in Business Administration/Administrative Systems from Tarleton State University. She has become a leader in online program development and will be one of the first technical programs to offer an entire degree program online at NCTC.
Dawn earned the Outstanding Professor Award for working with students with disabilities. Dawn has served as an officer in the NCTC Faculty Congress and on the Student Services Committee. She currently serves on the Distance Education Committee at NCTC and attends the Texas Distance Learning (TxDLA) Conference and ANGEL Users Conference annually to stay up-to-date with the latest in online course technology.
Dawn lives in
Denton County with her husband Frank. She is the mother of 5 children, and currently has 4 grandchildren.
In her spare time she volunteers for various
non profit agencies. Dawn and her husband Frank
enjoy traveling, spending time with their family, and riding horses.
