Melanie began her college career at North Central Texas College and went on to obtain her Associate of Applied Science in Radiography from Midwestern State University in 1998. From there she went to work in a variety of medical environments including five years at North Texas Medical Center where she specialized in surgical services and cath lab. During her employment at NTMC, Melanie served as the student Clinical Instructor for two north Texas colleges. She joined the NCTC staff as Radiology Program Coordinator with the implementation of the new degree in August of 2005.
Melanie is registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and a certified Medical Radiologic Technologist for the state of Texas. She is a member of the Texas Society of Radiologic Technologists (TSRT) and the Association of Educators in Radiologic Sciences (AERS). Melanie also participates in the Career Mentor Program for Gainesville High School.
In her personal life, Melanie enjoys spending time with her husband, Steve, and their two children, Evan and Christine. Melanie enjoys working in the children’s ministries at their church. She is also a self-described “family historian” and may be found working on her numerous family scrapbooks at every opportunity |
