Equine Science Scholarships

Scholarships are available through the college as well as the equine science program. Equine scholarships come in several different forms such as money for tuition, dorm room money for the student, and board money for a horse at the NCTC equine center. First consideration will be given to applications that are turned in by April 1st. Applications received after this will be filed and only considered if scholarships are still available.

** We will be using the on-line application on the college web-site for all scholarships this year. This will hopefully make less work for students and make it easier to get the applications in.

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE:

Equine Students have many different scholarships available to them through NCTC, the Agriculture program, as well as the Equine Program. Agriculture scholarship appication is located on the agriculture web-site at nctc.edu\agriculture, all other scholarships will use the main on-line scholarship application located on the schoalrship page of the NCTC web-site.

Equine Scholarships:

Dorm Scholarship: Students that are interseted in living in the dorms on the Gainesville campus can apply for the dorm waiver scholarship through the Equine Program. This scholarship waives the cost of the dorm room in Bonner Hall, but studetns are still responsible for the meal expenses. If a student is interested in this scholarship they will need to complete the on-line scholarship application, as well as e-mail your interest in this schoalrship to bkaven@nctc.edu.

Stall Scholarship: The Equine Program also offers one stall scholarship per year or semester for a student to board there horse at the Equine Facility. Student boarders have access to an indoor and outdoor arena, round pens, washrack with heated water, tools, and turnout. The value of this scholarship is $500-$550 a semester. Students intersted in this schoalrship must fill out the on-line scholarship application as well as e-mail your interest in this schoalrship to bkaven@nctc.edu.
