Becky Anne Terrell has a BS degree from Texas Tech University and a MS degree from Colorado State University.  She was born in Dallas, TX but grew up in Stillwater, OK.

Becky has been involved with horses since she was five year old. Through the 4-H program in Stillwater, OK she participated in judging and showing horses throughout her youth. At twelve she started showing and participating in Quarter Horse youth activities. She was State Champion in Hunter Under Saddle her last four years in 4-H, was All Around Senior at the Oklahoma State 4-H Horse Show her last year, and qualified for the Youth Quarter Horse World Show as an alternate in Hunter Hack.  She participated in Regional 4-H Shows in Jackson, MS, Baton Rouge, LA, and Oklahoma City where she placed in Hunt Seat, Equitation, and was named Champion in English Showmanship.

Throughout her academic career she competed on and helped coach several state and nationally successful judging teams, She has judged horse shows in Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Alabama, Mississippi, Missouri, Louisiana, Florida, Pennsylvania, and British Columbia, Canada.  She has officiated at Regional Pony of America and District 4-H Championships as well The Alabama State Open Horse Show in 2001 and the Texas State Special Olympics in Waco, TX for the past four years.  She currently holds Judges cards with the National Reining Horse, National Reined Cow Horse, and the National Snaffle Bit Associations.

Becky was introduced to the world of reining horses during a college internship with Doug and Valerie Milholland and has focused on the discipline since. She has worked in various capacities from breeding management to starting and fitting colts for breeders and trainers such as Bob Loomis, Roger Daly, Sally Brown, Lance Shockly, Bill and Tina Kaven, Beavers Ranch/Richard Johnson, and Select Breeders.

She spent seven years in the Fort Collins, CO area running her own horse training operation where she coached state and nationally competitive riders.  In addition she showed client horses throughout Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska winning NRHA Limited Opens at the Colorado State Fair, Rock Hill Slide, and tied for Reserve World Champion in Western Riding at the Appaloosa World Show in 1999. 

Becky lives in Sanger, TX with her two cats and a dog.  She currently works at North Central Texas College in Gainesville as an instructor in the Equine program.  In her “off time”, Becky enjoys landscaping her yard, jogging, and showing her reining horse.
