Nail Technician

The Nail Technology program provides the necessary skills for a successful career in this exciting field. Our program offers instruction and hands-on practice for an in-depth learning experience.

Topics include manicuring, pedicuring as well as anatomy, physiology, theory, terminology and applications. Work place competencies and career choices related to nail technology are taught for a look ahead into the business or salon ownership in this field.

The general principles of theory and application of artificial nails are taught in the advanced classes insuring complete knowledge of all phases of Nail Technology.

Gainful Employment Documentation

 

A total of 20 credit hours and 600 clock hours are required for a certificate of completion from NCTC. The student is then prepared to take the licensing exam required by the Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulations to become a Nail Technician.

The classes meet Monday through Wednesday from 8am to 5pm. Various times throughout the semester, we offer field trips to salons and other educational events.

This program takes approximately 2 semesters to complete. New students are enrolled each semester.
