The Agriculture
Department at North Central Texas College offers twenty (20) $1,000
scholarships each year. The twenty scholarships will be divided
annually to ten (10) incoming students and ten (10) returning students.
Preferences will be given to students residing in Cooke, Montague,
and Denton counties. If additional scholarships are available, other
areas will be considered.
Value of the scholarship will be $500.00 per semester
Scholarship recipients will receive a $500.00 credit to be used
as payment on tuition and registration
charges.
Recipients must major and be enrolled in agriculture or
an agricultural related field at North Central Texas College .
Recipients
must be enrolled in a minimum of two agriculture classes each
semester .
Recipients must maintain a minimum 2.5 grade point average while
completing a minimum of twelve (12) hours each semester.
Class attendance and participation are essential, and records
will be monitored.
Student's transcripts/files will be reviewed and discussed for
further scholarship considerations each semester.
To receive and remain eligible for the scholarships, students
must meet with T.J. Davidson, Chairman of the Agriculture Department,
each semester prior to early registration or regular registration
to have their schedule of classes approved.
If
for any reason a scholarship recipient withdraws or drops out
of college during the semester, they are required to REPAY
the scholarship fund.
