Friends Of Agriculture Scholarship

The Agriculture Department of North Central Texas College in Gainesville, Texas offers several $1,000 scholarships each year.

The scholarship is intended to recognize Agriculture students which possess outstanding leadership qualities, communication skills, notable personal character and those who demonstrate active community involvement.

This application form should be submitted to the NCTC Foundation Office and will allow the applicant to be considered for all of the available scholarships offered at NCTC.

Guidelines for Eligibility:

Recipients of a Agriculture Scholarship must agree to and abide by the following terms and conditions:

  • Understand that by accepting this scholarship award the recipient is agreeing to serve as a student ambassador for NCTC, and specifically the Agriculture Department. This will include attendance at Departmental activities such as Friends of Agriculture Round-Up Auction, Area FFA and Invitational CDE Contests and Farm City Week.
  • Maintain full-time status enrolling in and completing a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours.
  • Enroll in a minimum of two (2) Agriculture courses.    
  • Maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
  • Students are eligible for Henry Spaeth Agriculture scholarships for a maximum of four (4) semesters, providing all other criterion has been met. Students are required to re-apply each year.  
  • Students are awarded scholarships on an annual basis beginning in the FALL and the award will continue through the SPRING semester provided all other criterion has been met.
  • Students who are currently receiving, or have received in the past, a Henry Spaeth Agriculture Scholarship MUST re-apply each academic year.
  • Students must be in good standing with NCTC to be considered for a Henry Spaeth Agriculture Scholarship.
