NCTC, our students, and the Agriculture students at Gainesville High School had an opportunity to learn more about biodiesel and the horsepower created from different blends of biodiesel from Dr. Kingman, Sam Houston State University. Dr. Kingman visited our campus, along with his demonstration tractor and dynometer to measure horses created by the tractor when burning some different blends of biodiesel. Dr. Kingman's presentation included an informative PowerPoint detailing research data from trials surrounding the use of biodiesel, in addition to the tractor demonstration. Students who wanted to were able to operate the dynometer as well. This was a very exciting opportunity for our department and all of the students who attended.
