Jeff is originally from this area, growing up in Pilot Point, Texas where his family farmed and raised cattle.  While still in high school, Jeff started a custom farming and hay operation that would become one of the largest in the area at present time. 

He began his college career in College Station, where he received his B.S. in Ag Development from Texas A&M University.  After erning his his bachlors degree, he spent time in Washington D.C. working as an assistant to Congressman Ralph Hall.  His duties in Washington included agriculture and natural resource policy.  Upon returning to College Station, Jeff completed a M.Agr. in ag development from Texas A&M.
