Sharon Forney earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from NCTC in 1976 – the third graduating class in the ADN program; a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1986; a Master of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2004.

Her nursing career includes a wide range of experience with over 15 years in acute care nursing in hospitals with a focus on Med-Surg, but including Postpartum, and Geriatrics; Home Health Nursing, both as a staff nurse/case manager and the Director of Nursing; and Psychiatric Nursing.

Sharon is currently teaching Skills, Physical Assessment, and Clinical Nursing II.  She has alto taught Transition Clinical and the Fast Track LVN to RN courses.
