Spring 2012 Nursing

Information Session Schedule

Due to the number of prospective students who are interested in the Associate Degree Nursing Program, we do not offer individual advisement sessions. It takes approximately an hour to go over the entire program so we offer several group sessions throughout the year. By attending an information session, you will have an opportunity to learn about the program and ask any questions that may not have been answered in the session. Advisors do not look at individual transcripts. You will need to fill out a form to request a Degree Audit to determine if your courses will transfer. To request a degree audit, go to http://www.nctc.edu/Student_Services/Admissions_registrar/degree_audit.html and scroll down to the words degree audit in blue. Click on it and that is the form. Print it off, fill it out and submit it to the Registrar's Office along with official transcripts. It may take 6 - 8 weeks to receive the degree audit in the mail. You must apply to the college before requesting a degree audit.

Associate Degree Nursing Information Sessions will be held on the following Tuesdays at 2:30 p.m. during the Spring in Room BCS503 at the Gainesville Campus or Room 214 at the Corinth Campus.. No appointment is necessary. Please arrive a few minutes early so that you can locate the room before the session begins.

NOTE:  The college is in the midst of changing web editing systems and we have not been able to update all of the nursing web pages.  One of the main changes to the nursing program is the the Computer Literacy requirement is being dropped so you will not need a computer course but students will be expected to be competent in the use of computers.  The link Applying for the next Class has not yet been updated for Fall but the general information is still applicable.  Deadline to apply for Fall is May 1 - June 1.  Degree audits should be requested by  mid-March to allow sufficient time for them to be completed.  We are hoping that the new web editing system will be in place sometime in February so continue watching the web site for updates.
