Roxanne Del Rio grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. She attended Del Mar Community College and received an Associates of Arts Degree; Texas A&M where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science; University of North Texas where she earned a Master of Public Administration with a specialization in Human Resource Management. Currently, Roxanne is a Doctoral Student at the University of North Texas.

Roxanne began her career in Higher Education as a work study student for Del Mar College.  Upon graduation from Texas A&M she was hired to work at the Counseling & Testing Department of Del Mar College.
 
Roxanne has pursued a twenty-year career in Higher Education, including serving as Director of Admissions and International Enrollment at the University of Dallas. In these roles, she supported the rapid growth of the Graduate School of Management to become one of the premier institutions in Management Education in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. She pioneered the outreach of the Business School to many leading corporations including Motorola, National Semiconductor, ST Microelectronics; Fidelity Investments, Nokia, NEC and Allstate Insurance Co.

Additionally, over a period of more than 10 years, Roxanne established and developed a robust network of recruitment throughout Latin America, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia, brokering student and faculty relations abroad in countries including: Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, India, Turkey, Jordan, Dubai, Israel, Egypt, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
 
Roxanne served as the Educational Consultant for the National Society of Hispanic MBA’s and established the NSHMBA Scholarship Program which provided scholarship opportunities to underprivileged graduate students.
 
Roxanne has worked with undergraduate students at the University of Texas at Arlington in the department of Interdisciplinary Studies, where she was recognized as Academic Advisor of the Year in 2006.
