Room assignments for both
these facilities are done on a first-come first-serve basis. To
ensure a spot for the upcoming semester students are strongly encouraged
to turn in their applications (along with the required $150 deposit)
as soon as they know they are coming to NCTC. A refund of
$50.00 of the room deposit will be made if written notice of cancellation
is received by the specified dates: Fall Semester - August 1st,
Spring Semester - December 1st, and Summer Semesters - May 1st.
The cost of living in
the residence hall during the Fall and Spring semesters cover the
mandatory meal plan (Monday breakfast through Friday lunch)
and the price of the student's room. If students want a phone line
or cable TV in their room, they are responsible for the fees associated
with these additional items.

The residence halls close down during the Thanksgiving Holiday; between the Fall and Spring semesters; Spring Break; May break; and between the Summer II and Fall semesters. During this time residents are not allowed to live in the residence halls. This period allows the live-in staff opportunities to visit their families and time away from the residence halls. The only exception to this rule is for the baseball and softball teams that are required to play games during Spring Break. They are allowed to stay in the residence halls on game days but are not allowed to have outside guest in the residence halls and the coaches live at the residence halls during this period.
NCTC offers summertime
housing for students enrolled in a minimum of 3 hours during each
summer session. Students must pay their dorm deposit and housing
payment prior to move-in. The cost for a room for each
summer session is $250.00, in addition to the $150.00 room deposit.
During the summertime no meal-plan is available.
