Susan Olivares has spent numerous hours at NCTC building a collegiate environment for all students to enjoy. Susan leadership positions have included: Vice-President for and Publicity Officer for Fellowship; Publicity Chair and President for Gainesville Program Council; and Senator and Secretary - Treasurer for Student Government Association.

In addition, Susan has participated with the NCTC Leadership Retreats, NCTC Leadership Conferences, and both Service Learning Trips. As an active student leader at NCTC, Susan has lobby in Austin on behalf of all community college students as well as participated in over a dozen service projects benefiting the local community.

Susan graduated from NCTC at the Spring 2009 ceremony and will attend the University of North Texas. In addition to being named the 2008 - 2009 NCTC Student of the Year, Susan has received the NCTC Student Leader Award and named the GPC Member of the Year for 2008.
