Kim Brown is currently serving as the NCTC SGA Advisor and the Texas Junior College Student Government Association Advisor-Elect for the 2004 - 2005 term.  In addition, Kim Brown advises a number of other student organizations at NCTC such as: Outdoor Adventure, Paintballaz, Texoma Disaster Action Team, United Students, Fellowship, Gainesville Program Council, and Presidential Ambassadors.

As the Director of Student Life, Kim Brown oversee all aspects of student life on all three campuses from student organizations, student activities, Leadership Retreats, and the residence halls on the Gainesville Campus.

Kim Brown has worked in Student Services for the past six years having concentration in residence halls, programming, and student organizations.  Brown believes strongly in student organizations and their impact both local and nationally.  Brown served on the Texas Residence Hall Association State board where she went on to serve in a regional capacity for SWACURH and on the National Board of Directors for NRHH for NACURH.

Kim Browns' favorite aspect about SGA is seeing students take on leadership position which they would have never thought possible and then succeeding in that position.  "A new confidence is found and that is when the magic happens!"

Kim Brown became the advisor of the NCTC SGA in April of 2003 before the state conference.  Brown at that conference was elected President of the Advisors Association of TJCSGA.  In 2004, Kim Brown was elected to the TJCSGA State Board in the capacity of Advisor-Elect where she will serve for a year and will become the 2005 - 2006 Advisor for TJCSGA.
