The SGA General Assembly placed the Lion Statues in Bowie and Gainesville in early September. The SGA was the leading student organization working the Haunted House, which was ranked number 1 in North Texas. SGA created relationships with the College Administration through participation on Campus-wide committees and taking issues to President's Cabinet.

SGA passed a constitution to give more power to each individual campus by having their own General Assemblies but keeping the SGA together through a central governing Cabinet. The new constitution was passed on March 24, 2006. The SGA worked on several fundraisers to accomplish their goals with the Dinner Theatre (The Cable Car Murders) being a major success. Next, the SGA completed phase I of V for the SGA Student Leader Scholarship as well as raised enough additional funds to have a Fall 2006 scholarship. Finally, the SGA also was recognized at the TJCSGA State Conference as the Region II Chapter of the Year; 2nd Place Media; Honorable Mention Essay; and 3rd Place Sweepstakes.
