SGA won Student Organization of the Year for 2003 - 2004 for NCTC.  In addition, NCTC won Chapter of the Year and Jaye van Acht got Student of the Year for Region II.  At the State Conference SGA received the following awards: 2nd Place for Essay; 3rd Place for Song; and Honorable Mention in Media.

As it happen, these members came from the various coverage areas: two officers from Cooke County, one from Denton County, one from Montague County, and one from Oklahoma.  President Dawayne Helm was elected on October 10th in an election that took place on all three NCTC campuses. Vice-President Paul Mauer, Secretary Jaye Van Acht, and Parliamentarian Elisa Endres were appointed later that day  On December 5, 2003 the General Assembly approved the new position of Treasurer and Emily Lamb was appointed.
