Fall 2006 brought changes to the NCTC SGA. The new constitution creating the three campuses individual Officers while the entire system met as a Cabinet was put into place for the first time. The Gainesville CAmpus President and Vice-President carried over from the final Spring 2006 GA while the Secretary/Treasurer and Parliamentarian were elected by the Gainesville Student Body and in Corinth and Bowie they held elections for all four officers.

During the Fall semester Bowie and Gainesville were able to get their organizations together for meetings and the Cabinet composed of 7 members (4 from Gainesville and 3 from Bowie) also took part in the first Student Organization Allocations from the Student Activity Fee granting $10,000 among active Student organizations at their October Meeting.

The Gainesville SGA also for the first time in the 4 year history received 100% of the funds raised from Dr. Haunt's Chamber of Fears. SGA was able to fully endow their $12,500 SGA Student Leader Scholarship while also getting $10,000 to use for them and all student organizations that participated.

During the Spring 2007 semester SGA members attended Community College Day in Austin where they spoke with Senator Estes and Represenative Hardcastles Office requesting more funds for community colleges. They also attended the State Conference where they recieweved 3rd Place for their Essay and elected President of Region II for the upcoming year.
