After a transition in the leadership of SGA the SGA Officers and Senators had a very successful semester.  SGA did pass the election to increase the Student Activity Fee from $1.00 to $2.00 but after discussing financial matters with the College President decided it was in the best interest of the students to not increase the Student Activity Fee since Tuition and Room & Board rates were increasing.  SGA published 6 issues of "The Student Pulse"; lobby in Austin for more funding for community colleges; had political speakers at all their GAs; continued the adopt-a-street program in Corinth; hosted a successful Arts & Craft Fair; as well as purchased Lion Statues for all three campuses.  In addition, SGA received the NCTC Student Organization of the Year as well as received Honorable Mention at TJCSGA for their Song and Essay.
