After
a transition in the leadership of SGA the SGA Officers and Senators
had a very successful semester. SGA did pass the election
to increase the Student Activity Fee from $1.00 to $2.00 but after
discussing financial matters with the College President decided
it was in the best interest of the students to not increase the
Student Activity Fee since Tuition and Room & Board rates were
increasing. SGA published 6 issues of "The Student Pulse";
lobby in Austin for more funding for community colleges; had political
speakers at all their GAs; continued the adopt-a-street program
