All Stafford Loan borrowers must complete the online loan application process through Loans By Web (LBW). Visit Loans By Web to go directly to TG Loans By Web. For your convenience we have outlined the steps and included graphics of the corresponding screens.

Step 1

Choose whether you are a student or parent borrower. To continue with the login process, check the box requesting your permission to securely store your Social Security Number and date of birth. Log in by entering the correct Social Security Number and date of birth.

Completing Your Loan Award

Step 2

You will be directed to the main menu.

Click on "Complete a loan award."

Step 3

You will be directed to your personalized list of loans. Click on "Begin" to select the loan amount you are finalizing.

Note: If you do not see the loan information you wish to complete, contact your school.

Entrance Counseling

Step 4

All Borrowers will need to complete the online entrance counseling session before continuing the loan process. By clicking on "Go to Entrance Counseling" you will be taken directly to the site. Upon completion of the entrance counseling session you will return to the TG Loans By Web site to complete your loan award.

If you have already completed the entrance counseling session, click on "Continue the TG Loans By Web Process"

Tip: You can also complete loan entrance counseling by clicking on "Online Loan Entrance Counseling at http://mappingyourfuture.org.

Completing The Loan Award

Step 5

To complete your loan award, enter the requested personal information in the outline form provided and click on "Next."

Step 6

After completing the "Personal Information" section of the application, you will be prompted to provide the names and contact information of two references. Click on "Next" when complete.

Choosing A Lender

Step 7

You will choose a lender by clicking on "Select Lender." A drop-down menu will appear with a comprehensive list of lenders.

Step 8

Choose "Next" to accept the lender.

Make sure you understand what benefits each lender may offer you before you choose your lender. North Central Texas College cannot choose your lender for you. Do Your Homework!

Loan Award Information

Step 9

Read over the following information to ensure the loan award information is correct.

If you have been awarded an unsubsidized Stafford Loan, you will be required to pay the interest that accrues while you are in school. However, those payments can be deferred until after graduation. Checking the box under "Interest payments," indicates that you would rather begin paying on the interest now. You will be mailed a quarterly interest statement from your lender.

Next, choose whether you prefer to print the application packet to your personal printer or have TG Loans BY Web mail the application packet to your permanent address. Once the form is complete, choose"Submit."

Guarantee Confirmation

Step 10

Once your loan award has been submitted, you will receive online confirmation that your loan is guaranteed for the previously agreed amount.

Some lenders provide the option of an eletronic signature which will expedite the loan award process. To sign electronically, select "E-Sign."

Note: you may need your FAFSA four digit PIN.
