Rodney U. Garrett received his High School Diploma from Dallas Skyline High School. Rodney attended Dallas County Community College District’s Mountain View College.  Afterwards, Rodney transferred to Dallas Baptist University where he completed both his undergraduate and graduate degree. In May 2006, Rodney received the Doctor of Philosophy degree from University of North Texas in higher education with a concentration in community college leadership.

Currently, Rodney is a part of the graduate adjunct faculty at both Prairie View A&M University and Dallas Baptist University. Rodney’s research interest includes all issues concerning minority higher education and community colleges.
