Student Housing

NCTC provides on-campus housing for men and women in two facilities, one of them a modern new apartment-style facility. The new Residence Hall will accommodate 32 students in a two-story structure. It features eight 4-student suites, each with two bedrooms accommodating two students each and sharing a common area and bathroom. Each suite is restricted to either all men or all women.

Bonner Hall features single two-person rooms for both men and women students.(Men's and women's wings are separated by a common lobby area, and access to each wing by the opposite sex is restricted.) Dining rooms are not provided in on-campus housing facilities at NCTC, but the college does REQUIRE that students living in both residence halls purchase a Meal Plan (see details following), with meals served in the Student Center cafeteria just a short walk away. Students should be aware that housing reservations will be handled on a space-available basis. The college reserves the right to make specific room assignments, although roommate preferences will be honored whenever possible. The college also reserves the right to change, prior to the beginning of a semester, the rates charged for room rentals and meal plans; however, this will be done only when absolutely necessary to cover the costs.

Rental charges for on-campus housing during a regular long term (Spring or Fall) at NCTC includes a mandatory Meal Plan which provides 14 meals per week for 15 weeks. Serving of meals included in this plan begins the first day of classes and ends with the Thursday evening meal of the last week of each semester. Meals are prepared and served by a privately contracted food service company, and menus are planned to give students good nutritionally balanced meals at the most reasonable price possible.
