Placement Service
North Central Texas College
operates a placement service through the Access Office to help
students find part-time employment in the community while pursuing
their studies at NCTC. Upon graduation from NCTC, students are
given assistance with seeking employment. This service is facilitated
by the Job Placement Recruiter who, in conjunction with the Technical
faculty and the Tech-Prep Program,
will assist students in gaining work experience in nontraditional
careers, as well as internships with local businesses and industry.
Interested students should come by the ACCESS Offices
on the Gainesville and Corinth Campuses to set up a job file containing
information such as work preferences, special skills, and times
available for work. Students at the Bowie Campus should contact
the ACCESS Office at the Gainesville Campus. A resume
should be submitted.
The Job Placement Recruiter will:
-
Make personal contact to review the resume and
other information in the job file.
-
Advise students of job openings and help arrange
interviews with perspective employers
-
Assist students in developing resumes, preparing
for job interviews, dressing for success, completing job applications,
reviewing job search techniques, and writing letters.
Current job openings for all NCTC students are posted on the bulletin
boards at the various campuses. For information, contact the Job
Placement Recruiter at 940-668-7731, EXT. 4344.
