Associate of Applied Science Degree
  • To receive an Associate of Applied Science Degree from NCTC, a student must complete at least 15 semester hours as specified for each technical program in accordance with the criteria of the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools.
  • Additional requirements include those technical, related and general academic courses as specified for each specific technical program (listed under Curricula-Technology and Curricula-Health Occupations sections of the catalog)
  • Complete COSC 1400 or pass a departmental exam.
  • One semester of humanities in addition to meet the above requirements is strongly recommended
    (ARTS1301, ARTS1303, ARTS1304, DRAM1310, ENGL1302, ENGL2322, ENGL2323, ENGL2331, ENGL2332, ENGL2307, ENGL2327, ENGL2328, HIST2321, HIST2322, HUMA1371, MUSI1306, MUSI1308, MUSI1309, OR SPCH2341)

Associate of Science Degree

  • To receive an Associate of Science Degree a student must complete 62 hours (18 hours of sophomore level courses) and maintain an accumulative 2.0 GPA. This degree requires 2 Math courses and 3 English courses.
  • Completing COSC 1400 or passing a departmental exam.

Associate of Arts Degree

  • To receive an Associate of Arts Degree a student must complete 62 hours (18 sophomore level courses) and maintain an accumulative 2.0 GPA. This degree require 1 Math course and 4 English courses.
  • Completing COSC 1400 or passing a departmental exam.

Associate of Arts and Science Degree

To earn both the Associate of Arts Degree and the Associate of Sciences Degree the minimum requirements of each must be met and an additional 15 college-level semester hours must be earned at NCTC.

 

Note: It is required that at least 18 hours minimum must be completed in residence at NCTC to graduate.
