Individual and group tutoring sessions are available in many academic areas. Students must make a request for this tutoring in writing by completing a Request for Individual Tutoring Form. Forms can be picked up in Corinth in Room COR 170 or in Gainesville in ASC 111.
TRIO/ACCESS Students:
Procedures for receiving Individual Tutoring through the TRIO/ACCESS Programs:
You must be admitted into the TRIO or the ACCESS Program.
You must stop by room 170 in Corinth or room 111 on the Gainesville Campus and meet with a TRIO or ACCESS Representative.
You must sign up for Individual Tutoring at least one day in advance in Room 182/188 on the Corinth Campus or Room 111 on the Gainesville Campus.
All Students:
Procedures for receiving Individual Tutoring in a subject other than Math or Writing:
Go to Room 182/188 (ask for Jennifer Knoles) in Corinth or Room 111 in Gainesville (ask for Mary Martinson) and complete the Request for Individual Tutoring Form.
You must complete the form at least two days in advance of actually needing the tutoring service.
You must specify on this form the subject area and your available times for meeting with a tutor.
The SSC Staff will attempt to fulfill your request in a timely manner.
Tutoring is based on a first-come, first-serve basis AND on the availability of tutors in the specific academic area.
