Networks Program

Welcome to the Networks Program!

The Networks Program facilitates access to technical education and training at North Central Texas College and provides support services to enable students who answer yes to one of the follow questions.

Are you a

  • Nontraditional Learner? (a student pursuing a career, for which individuals from one gender comprise less than 25% of the individuals employed. )
  • Limited English Proficient Learner?
  • Learner with Economic Disadvantage?
  • Learner with a Disability?
  • Learners who are Single Parents and/or Displaced Homemakers?

 

Through the coordination efforts with community agencies, local service providers, and the colleges instructional and support services network, the Networks Program assists participants in obtaining marketable skills for employment while facilitating long-term career development plans.

Services Include:

  • Non-traditional Career Awareness
  • Career Assessment 
  • Referrals to Campus and Community Services
  • Academic, Career, and Individual Counseling Services
  • Child Care Assistance
Eligibility Requirements for Child Care Assistance:
  1. Students must be enrolled in a technical area of study.
  2. Students must establish financial need (i.e. Pell grant recipient, food stamp recipient, etc.)
  3. Students must complete a Childcare Assistance Application for the Networks program and provide all requested documentation.
  4. Student must submit their application and documentation to Room 170 on the Corinth Campus or Room ASC 110 on the Gainesville Campus. Flower Mound Bowie, or Graham students may fax to Corinth Campus at 940.498.6404    

Please note:  The Child Care monetary assistance is distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis to those students who qualify.
