Dr. Sam Dunlap brings a strong science background to NCTC where he currently teaches Anatomy & Physiology I and II and Nutrition at the Corinth campus. He earned his B.A. in Biology from Hendrix College in 1968 and his M.S. in Animal Science from Louisiana State University in 1970. Sam completed his PhD in Animal Science from the University of Georgia in 1980 with his doctoral research centered on endocrine function in cattle reproduction.
Sam is happily married to Kim Cook Dunlap and has two sons Chuck and Jake. They reside on a small cattle farm near Slidell.
Sam's civic and service organizations include: Actively involved in the NCTC Faculty Congress and the Corinth Assembly; Board of Trustee for the Slidell Independent School District; and member of Slidell Baptist Church. He is also very committed to community involvement and helps with various youth groups in Slidell. Away from NCTC, Sam's most treasured pastime is spending time with family. He also enjoys farming, gardening, and bird, wildflower, and wildlife watching.
