The first six of Cathy's 32 years at NCTC were spent in the Student Services division (Financial Aid Office and Counseling Center), but for the past 25 years she has served as the Director of the Small Business Development Center. 

     Cathy grew up in a family of entrepreneurs, and she credits her love of business to this experience. Working alongside her parents in their business, she gained a working knowledge that, coupled with her education, gives strength to her business consulting.

     Her educational credentials include the following certificates and degrees: North Texas SBDC Certified Business Development Specialist Certification; Associate of Science, Cooke County College now North Central Texas College; Bachelor of Business Administration, Texas Woman's University; and a Master of Education, Texas Woman's University.

     Cathy is a charter member of Sigma Phi Beta, the Honorary Scholastics Fraternity for Business of Economics at TWU.

     Her civic and service activities include the following: Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, chairman 2004; completed the Gainesville Leadership Program; serves on the Chamber's Ambassador, Industry Relations, and the Gainesville Leadership committees; past member of the St. Mary's School Advisory Board; past president of Beta Sigma Phi, Theta Alpha Chapter.

     Her professional memberships include: Association of Small Business Development Centers, and the Texas Administrators of Continuing Education. 

     Cathy's most pleasurable times are spent with her family.
