Debbie came to the college's administrative leadership team with a lot of knowledge about North Central Texas College. A native of nearby Muenster, she received her bachelor's and master's degrees in education at the University of North Texas.
As Vice President of Institutional Advancement, she has established quite a track record for obtaining grants for the college, and she also functions as Executive Director of both the NCTC Foundation and NCTC Ex-Students Association.
Debbie came to NCTC from Collin County Community College where she was serving as Assistant Director of Development and where she had earlier served as Assistant Director of Job Development and Recruitment.
For one year, Debbie taught at Sacred Heart School in Muenster, and for the seven years prior to that she was a County Extension Agent for the Texas Agricultural Extension Service.
A member of the National Council for Resource Development and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Debbie is also an active member of the North Texas Community & Junior College Consortium's Resource Development Committee. While at Collin, she received the Ambassador Award from the Council for Advancement & Support of Education, and she was honored with the Texas Agricultural Specialist Association's Innovative Program State Award.
Listed among the Outstanding Young Women of America, Debbie was Outstanding Education Major of the Year at UNT and a national Phi Upsilon Omicron Scholarship recipient. She has completed the Leadership Gainesville program of the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce and is a board member of the Texoma Workforce Board.
When not busy at her job, Debbie spends time with her children Casey, Alana, Brandon and Callie and her 15 nieces and nephews, sewing, crafts, and computers.
