"When citing electronic publications the goal is to provide enough information so that the reader can locate the article, either electronically or from the original print. This guide shows examples of citation information for articles and documents retrieved from the InfoTrac Web and GaleNet databases. The examples follow the recommendations set forth by the sixth edition of the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers*. "
The citation elements to be included for work from a subscription service are in the following order:
- Author
- Article Title
- Publication Name
- Publication Date
- Page Number/Range
- Database Name
- Service Name
- Name of the library where service was accessed
- Name of the town/city where service was accessed
- Date of Access
- URL of the service
