Books
NCTC Library Catalog – The Library Catalog includes materials on all three NCTC campuses. Location is indicated in the bibliographic record of a material. The record includes a link to request the item (student ID or library card number required). A courier service between the three campuses ensures rapid delivery of requested materials. For more information about borrowing library materials, see Frequently Asked Questions or contact library staff.

Collections include books, journals, magazines, newspapers, video and audio cassettes, and electronic books. In addition to advanced searching features, the catalog permits "shelf browsing" by classification number. For more information on the Library of Congress Classification System, view an outline.

Electronic Books
NCTC eBook Collection – Includes more than 25,000 full-text scholarly, reference and professional eBooks from leading university, academic and professional publishers. The Free Reading Room area has a sizable collection of public domain eBooks.  To access the NCTC eBook collection from off campus, you must establish an account from a workstation in the Library/LRC.

Library Consortia
TexShare Libraries – NCTC is a member of TexShare which was established to promote resource sharing among libraries in Texas. With the TexShare Borrower's Card, students, faculty and staff may borrow books directly from participating college and university libraries (View a list of TexShare libraries). Apply for a borrower's card at the Circulation Desk or contact library staff. NCTC student ID also required.

Interlibrary Loans
Books borrowed through the TexShare network can, in most cases, be delivered more quickly than traditional means because a daily (five days per week) courier service links participating academic libraries. For more information, contact your campus Library/LRC.
