Phlebotomy Technician

 

Prepare for an entry-level position in a medical laboratory or clinic as a phlebotomy technician or lab assistant, who draws blood and prepares samples for analysis. Must also register for CPR for Healthcare Provider course. Text, workbook, lab materials, NHA test included in course fee. Scrubs required (not included) during lab. Externship required after successful completion of course. (90 hrs. + 100-draw externship)

  

Age Requirements: 18+ at registration

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Proof of Immunizations required

Must pass Criminal Background Check

Must pass Basic Reading and Writing Assessment

Must enroll in a CPR class

Must sign Consent Form

 

Note: Vaccinations can take up to 6 months to complete, so students are urged to plan accordingly.
