Dental Assisting

 

Need the credentials to get hired for one of the fastest growing occupations in the country? The demand for Dental Assistants is projected to increase by 42% in the next three years.

 

The class incorporates key skills required for today’s competitive environment. Lectures are supplemented with laboratory experience and externships as well as online training in nitrous oxide and dental assisting ethics and safety. Course includes CPR training, Registered Dental Assistant through the State of Texas, Nitrous Oxide certification, and all supplies and materials.  (96 hrs lecture + 120 hrs externship)

 


 Age Requirements:  18+ at registration

Education:  High School Diploma or GED

Must pass Criminal Background check

Must pass basic reading and math assessments

Must show proof of Hepatitis B Immunizations

 

Students must have access to a computer with internet access and a printer for the online portions of this class. Online portions include discussion boards, online RDA course, and online Nitrous Oxide certification.

 

Note: Students must show proof of starting the Hepatitis B immunization series process before enrolling. Not all immunizations need to be completed prior to enrollment.
