Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)


The local workforce boards show a major need for C.N.A.s throughout the state, and this short class will certify you to work as a Nurse Aide in Texas. Many of our students take this class to prepare for nursing programs at NCTC. You will learn effective communication, vital signs recording, taking proper care of patients, and becoming a useful advocate for residents in long-term care centers. Our instructors are Licensed Vocational Nurses who have worked in long-term care for many years. Tuition includes scrubs, supplies, books, materials, and the Certified Nurse Aide exam. (60 hrs lecture + 40 hrs clinical)


•  Age Requirements:  16+ at registration

  Basic Reading and Math Assessment

  Criminal Background Check (Convictions barring program Admission)

  Must provide proof of current Immunizations

  Must provide current, official ID and social security card (names must match exactly)

  Must enroll in a CPR Class


Note: Vaccinations can take up to 6 months to complete. Students are urged to plan accordingly.


State of Texas examinations will take place approximately one month after completion of clinicals.Please note that dates reflect class times/instructional times only. 40 hours of clinicals are additional days and will be announced during class. The end date listed reflects the last day of lecture only.
