GED® GENERAL PREPARATION

Obtaining your General Equivalency Diploma (GED®) is one of the smartest decisions an adult can make. Regardless of why high school did not pan out, this "second chance" to pursue academic and/or career training helps not only you, but the economy as a whole. Don’t delay your future any longer! Our GED® preparation programs have been enhanced to offer you quick and affordable access to our teachers and tutors. Tuition includes textbook. (36 hours)

What is the GED® Test?

The GED® is the General Equivalency Diploma, comparable to a standard High School Diploma. All institutions of higher education accept the GED® as substitute for the High School Diploma.

Where and when can I take the GED® Exams?

Click here to see a list of the testing centers and fees charged. NCTC offers the GED® exam four to six times per year. Registering for the exam follows strict rules, so click here to learn more.

What will I learn in these classes?

Our classes teach test taking strategies, tricks for reading comprehension, elimination techniques, and tutoring in areas where the student demonstrates struggle.

Is there financial help for preparation?

Currently new students are not being admitted for assistance. Our previous Drop Out Recovery program has come to an end.

How old must I be to take the GED® Exams?

You must be 18 or older. You can take it at 17 if you have parental consent or by judicial order.
