NETWORK LOGIN & DRIVE INFORMATION




NCTC employee USER NAME/IDs are: the first initial of the first name and full last name (on occasion duplicate user names are differentiated by use of the middle initial)
John Smith's user ID would be: jsmith

User Ids and passwords to network users are sent to new employees when accounts are created. New employess will receive an email from the Information Services Department with their user ID and other login information. This email is sent to the email address provided by the user to their supervisor. If you have not received this information, contact your department.


To change your password, first log onto one of the college computers, then press Ctrl-Alt-Del and follow directions in Windows Security dialog box.

Shoretel Features: Caller ID, Caller History, Campus Directory, Out of Office and other Voice Mail Greeting options, Call Forwarding, Voice mail messages available on campus and off

Logging into Shoretel when out of the office:

OnCampus
Press the pound key twice (##)

enter your extension number

the voice prompt will ask you to enter your voice mail password and press # - follow voice prompts (use Call Manager User Guide)

Off Campus:

dial 940-668-3399 or 940-498-6299

press the pound key (#) during the greeting

When prompted, enter your extension number and voice mail password (default PIN is 1234) - follow voice prompts (use Call Mananger User Guide)

MSOffice

All campuses are migrating to Office 2007. Labs and classrooms will be receiving this update first and then during the fall of 2008 updates will be made in faculty and staff offices.

POISE/Skylite

Login names are determined by the type of use of POISE needed.

Most often used for course and budget information

New employees are not always provided POISE/Skylite accounts, it will be determined by your supervisor and job responsibilities.

Used by Students for registration, payment, viewing schedules and updating personal information (Student login from front page of website)

Used by Faculty/Staff (Login from Info Systems page) to view student information, rosters, student IDs, student network IDs, advising and grade entry

STUDENT INFORMATION

Students at NCTC have a unique 9-digit Student ID number that replaces the use of their social security number.

Student ID and Network ID numbers are listed on instructor rosters (when viewing rosters through Campus Connect).

Please view student login guide for more information that may be helpful for you as you work with students.
