is Perfect Tracker?
Perfect Tracker is utilized by NCTC's Maintenance
department as a work order request system. It is a Web
Based Maintenance work request system. You can submit
tickets (work/service requests), update your tickets,
and check the status of your tickets through Perfect
Tracker. Maintenance work order types include requests
for:computer
printer paper delivery; custodial services; dormitory
maintenance; electrical; heat and air; lighting; locks
and doors; plumbing repairs; room set-ups for events;
shipping and receiving, and other miscellaneous requests..
How
do I enter a Help Desk ticket through Perfect Tracker?
Follow the steps listed below to successfully submit
a Perfect Tracker ticket.

- Open Internet Explorer
Web Browser.
- In the address bar
type "maintenance" (without the quotation marks).
You do not need to type 'www.' before computer. Click
on Go or press the Enter key.
- The Perfect Tracker
logon screen opens.

- Enter your network
User ID in the User ID text box.
Note: This user ID is the same ID as your Novell logon
ID. For example, John Doe's User ID is jdoe.
- After entering your
User ID click on the Logon button below the User ID
text box.
The Perfect Tracker Main Menu will open.

- Click
on
the New Ticket icon on
the Perfect Tracker main menu. The Perfect Tracker:
New Ticket window will open.

- Click
in the Subject text box and briefly
describe your problem or request.
- In
the Product list box use the drop down arrow
to scroll through a list of products. Please
scroll all the way down to see a complete list of
the products. Choose the product that best describes
your problem.
- Ignore
the Asset ID list box.
- Please
be sure to a description of your maintenance request
in the Detail area of your ticket.
Please
be as specific as possible in your description. Include
room number, location, and dates that may be relevant
to this ticket.
- Below
the Details text box are two text boxes that allow
you to attach files to send with your ticket.

- If you wish to attach
files please click on the Browse button at the bottom
of the ticket dialog box. To locate the file that
you wish to attach .
- The Choose file dialog
box opens. Select the file you wish to attach and
click on open, the file attaches to the ticket.
- If you wish to attach
a second file click on the second browse button and
repeat the preceding steps to attach the file.

- Click on the Submit
button to make sure your ticket is entered into
the Perfect Tracker system. You may have to scroll
down to locate the Submit button. If you skip this
step your ticket is not entered in the Perfect Tracker
system.

- After submitting
your ticket the Perfect Tracker : Good-Bye
screen loads. Please close your browser window to
exit Perfect Tracker.
- If you wish to return
to the Perfect Tracker main menu click on the words
Perfect Tracker to return the Perfect Tracker
login screen.
- After submitting
your ticket you will receive an e-mail with a ticket
ID number. You may use this number to track
the status of your ticket.
