Career Opportunities

Paramedics provide pre-hospital emergency care at an advanced level, or care of patients in an emergency room environment. They perform basic EMT life support skills, IV therapy, drug administration and advanced airway management. A recent survey conducted by the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council and the D/FW Area Health Education Center predicts that paramedics may expect to earn from $17,000 to $33,000 annually. Currently, paramedics are in great demand throughout the United States.
