Student Nurses Association

 

The Student Nursing Association (SNA), is dedicated to promoting professionalism and leadership for today's students and to provide service to the community. The SNA is a part of the Texas Nursing Student Association which embodies more than 3,000 student nurses within the state preparing for initial licensure as registered nurses.

 

The goal of the SNA is to provide outstanding education for nursing students by supporting in the advancement of the individual. The ideal instills a high level of integrity among students in their dealings with society as they strive for excellence in all endeavors.

 

Through its members, NCTC-SNA works to create environments where nursing students can achieve their full potential. We are committed to contribute to the nursing student's education, help students develop leadership skills and provide the highest quality resources to our members.

Our individual members participate in individually chosen service projects each semester. Our group maintains a web-site for members, performs community services, funds a nursing scholarship each year, staffs free monthly blood pressure clinics, and provides low-cost CPR and First Aid Training to nursing students, medical professionals, and community citizens. In addition, the SNA raises money to help defray costs for students attending professional meetings and for local charities.
