David Brown assumed the position of Director of Institutional Research for NCTC in April 2006.  He is responsible for providing leadership, planning and direction for the assessment and implementation of institutional effectiveness, strategic planning, research and student learning outcomes for NCTC.  David responds to the request for data and information from college administrations and college assessment committees; coordinates efforts related to student learning outcomes assessment; maintains web information support related to publishing of assessment data.  An integral part of his position is to continually improve the level of quality and service provided to all customers.

David earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting Control Systems from the University of North Texas.  Upon graduation, he began his career as a Cost Accountant in the Aerospace industry.   While working at Alliance Airport David began work on his Masters of Business Administration.  Two years later David finished his MBA while working at corporate headquarters for a retail firm in north Dallas as a Financial Analyst.  David has also worked as an Inventory Control Manager, and as Business Planning Analyst while working in drilling and aerospace industries.

David is active in his church, both with the college ministry and with the full time mission team in Argentina.  He has attended two trips to Argentina, one in 2005 for evangelism and orphanage work, and again in 2008 for a medical mission trip.  David is also the Bible Study Advisor on the Gainesville campus for the student organization Fellowship.  David points to Ephensians 2:8-10 for his joy in Christ, and his purpose in life.

On a personal note David is very much in love with his wife, and their son.  He enjoys playing sports, watching NASCAR, collecting sports memorabilia and spending time with family and friends.
